The UK government has secured a record 131 new clean energy projects through its Contracts for Difference (CfD) scheme. These projects include the world’s largest floating wind farm and the largest number of solar projects to date. This investment is expected to boost the country’s energy independence and reduce costs for consumers, while moving towards the goal of a completely clean energy supply by 2030. In addition, these projects will help decarbonize the UK’s electricity grid, supporting the transition to a low-carbon economy and creating new jobs in rural and industrial areas.
