U.S. Government Announces $7.3 Billion Investment in Rural Electrification and Clean Energy

The U.S. government has announced a historic $7.3 billion investment to develop more than 10 gigawatts of clean energy in rural communities. This effort, part of the “Investing in America” agenda, seeks to accelerate the energy transition in rural areas, benefiting more than 5 million households in 23 states. In addition to reducing greenhouse gas emissions by 43.7 million tons annually, these projects will create thousands of jobs, improve grid resiliency and reduce energy costs for rural communities.
