Mr. Hector Orea brings an exceptional track record of more than 55 years in civil engineering, backed by a B.S. in Civil Engineering and advanced degrees from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). His expertise is further enriched by international training in port and harbour engineering in Japan and fishing port administration in Scotland.
Throughout his distinguished career, Mr. Hector Orea has held key roles in the execution of critical infrastructure projects. These include significant initiatives such as projects for the Florida Department of Transportation and road rehabilitation in the Turks and Caicos Islands. His strategic leadership was crucial in the construction of the International Port of Guiria, and he also made a significant and decisive contribution with his expertise in the construction of the Cabimas Wharf and the Salmuera Plant, located in Lake Maracaibo, Venezuela.
In addition to his notable accomplishments as Vice President at Oreasoc Group, Mr. Hector Orea continues to extend his influence through his active involvement with the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA). Since 2019, he has been an indispensable member of the Consulting, Engineering and Inspections team, contributing his extensive experience and leadership in critical situations.
